When we get in the car, we don’t spend much time When we get in the car, we don’t spend much time looking in the rearview mirror. We focus on the massive front windshield. Why? Because the road ahead matters more than what’s behind us. Same goes for life. If you’re making the mistake of spending WAY TOO MUCH TIME looking back, thinking about the past and mistakes you’ve made and letting it GET INSIDE your head… 🚨 A few years back, I was flown out to the Nevada desert to film a commercial with General Motors (yes, yours truly in a Corvette Stingray — not mad at it 😉). We were trained by a pro racer on how to drive that beast like we meant it. I’ll never forget what he said: “When you’re going this fast, don’t look at the steering wheel. Don’t just look in front of the car. Look where you WANT to go — your body, the car, your instincts will follow your vision.” I’ve used that lesson over and over — in business, in coaching, in life. Because too many of us? We’re stuck driving our lives like amateurs. 👀 Checking the past. 👀 Looking down. 👀 Letting other people grab the wheel. 👀 Coasting in jobs we hate and calling it “realistic.” Let me ask you something: Would you ever get in a car and just start driving with no destination? Of course not. But that’s exactly what most women are doing in life. Going through the motions. Staying in cruise control. Letting fear, people-pleasing, and “shoulds” set the GPS. If that’s you? I’ve been there. But the truth is: no one’s coming to drive the bus. You have to decide where you want to go — then take the damn wheel.
